Drive about 2-2.5 hours to State Trunk Highway (STH) 64 to the trailhead
in the Chequamegon National Forest.
Hike Northbound about 5 miles past Forest Road 558 to Beaver Creek.
Dispersed camp near Beaver Creek practicing Leave No Trace Principles.

Hike about 6 miles past Winter Sports Rd to Lake Eleven
Camp at site TA28 primitive campsite
The camp is in a hemlock grove up the hill along the lake. It has a stone fire ring with a
log bench and many good places for tents

Hike 8 miles past Jerry Lake to the South Fork Yellow River
Camp at site TA20 situated on a ridge overlooking the river valley

Hike 7 miles to camp TA15
Option: If progress is fast and conditions are reasonably dry, head to campsite
TA17 on the Chippewa Lobe Loop Trail to a secluded campsite
Camp at primitive site TA15

Possible Bailout: Forest Rd 108 or Mondeaux Ave

Hike 6 miles to Mondeaux Flowage
Camp at Picnic Point campsite, running water and bathrooms here
Note: Picnic Point campsite is "First Come, First Served". There are 4 sites here, so
although unlikely, it's possible they will all be taken. If that's the case, we'll continue
on another 2.5 miles to Spearhead point.
Miles today: 6 miles. Total to date: 32 miles
Possible bailout: CTH-E (County Trunk Highway E)

Hike 3 miles to Mondeaux Dam Recreation Area

This is the official end of the trip. You are welcome to spend the night at
the hotel, however if you drove and would like to get on the road or if you flew
and would like to schedule a late flight (or a red-eye if
this is a West Coast trip) you can definitely do so.
