Kara is a recent graduate from the University of Maryland, College Park,
where she worked for three years as a Trip Leader and Rental Desk Employee with the Adventure Program.
She is Wilderness First Responder certified through Wilderness Medical Associates (

and is also
Red Cross certified in CPR/AED.
She enjoys nature photography,
the works of Barbara Kingsolver, and a great deal of trail spice on her food.
